Oh how familiar all this is, although or experiences are different. But you are so strong and, indeed resilient, for having moved, for continuing to write, for dreaming still, for doing all that despite your challenges, with your pup by your side inspiring you. Thank you for inspiring me. <3
Oh, yeah! That's going to be my new mantra. "No Ponderosa Pines? I'll pick up sticks!" I too just packed up, sorted, eliminated, and the one to acclimate first...our kitty, Abby Rhodes. It took her some "tries" to find her window, her morning sleeping spot, her afternoon groove, her evening sleeping place, and "hide between the boxes and scare the humans" as her new mischivious activity. Thank you so much for all this, Wendy. Yep, resilience. The writing is absolutely part and parcel of it for me too. (As I am writing this, there is a huge room filled with unpacked boxes, bags and I am sitting with coffee, in the dark of early morning, learning the new sounds, one of which is a distant train which absolutly has my heart . I love it so. Write on my Resilient Writing Friend!
So sorry to hear that you and Tock have had such a hard transition, but it's great to hear what an inspiration Tock has been and how well he's adapted. Wishing you find lots of enjoyment in your new place!
Soi uplifting to read about Tock's discovery of a new enterprise, a new passion! Your resilience, too, is inspiring! Great nudges for climbing from my own well of despair to find another story, waiting close by, longing to be told.

Thank you for your kind comment, Nadia, and for inspiring me as well.
What a wonderful story of resilience. And our dogs are truly role models, aren’t they?
They sure are (and why am I not surprised that you of all people know that)!
❤️❤️

I take comfort in knowing we're going through this together, Mary. So glad to hear Abby Rhodes is showing you the way!
Yep, following our kitty for "the way. "

With time, I'm sure the enjoyment of this place will gradually replace the loss of the other. Thanks, Carol!
There you go!!!! Resilience and persistence!!!! Love this!
I know you can relate!
You and Tock are certainly more resilient than I. It's something I need to work on.
I think you're doing astoundingly well, considering the difficulties you've been through this year.

Thank goodness for the solidarity of our critique group! I am really looking forward to seeing glimpses of your new story.
YES, you have what it takes! Well done - courageous piece today.
Thanks for the encouragement, Mark!
